Wear & Care

Please check out our size chart, you can also find it on every product page.

Our silhouettes AND the innovative fabric they're made from are designed to celebrate AND flatter our bodies—however they may fluctuate—from week to week, year to year, and life phase to life phase. These pieces are seriously stretchy and seriously flattering—no matter where you are in your cycle or how many tacos you had last night.

Because every A DOMANI® piece is designed to move with your body you’ll see our sizes by number (0-5) and by conventional size translation (XXS-3XL).

If you have questions (or are getting someone a gift—great choice!), please email us (ciao@adomanisleep.com) and we'll do our best to find the exact right fit. Or, simply give her a gift card and let her choose.

Our Signature Collection, made of interlock microTENCEL Lyocell, drapes to maximize cooling airflow with a modern + floaty look. Because the pieces are floaty and oversized, if you prefer a snugger fit, we suggest you size down.

Our Golden Hour Collection silhouettes are cut to sit close to the body to maximize the “second-skin” evaporation properties of our high-density knit mercerized microModal TENCEL jersey. If you prefer a looser fit, we suggest you size up. The fabric in both collections is seriously stretchy–stretchy enough to likely wear the same size throughout an entire pregnancy.

As of now we don't offer specific petite or tall sizes but the lengths on our pieces were very thoughtfully chosen to hit the sweet spot on most heights (one diverse friend group—ranging from 5' flat to 5'11"—has called them "the sisterhood of the traveling pajamas").

Short dresses and shorts are designed to be an appropriate length for mixed company (i.e. short with no cheek) and the pants are long but cropped specifically so that you won't step on them when you're walking up the stairs (e.g. carrying a baby). Our size chart has the inseam measurements, and feel free to reach out with any specific questions.

Best way to know is to try it on! We offer complimentary shipping on orders over $100 and free returns.

We source the most premium and technologically advanced constructions of European microTENCEL Modal and Lyocell available on the market today, typically reserved for couture design houses, and reimagine them for sleepwear.

Our Signature Collection, made of interlock microTENCEL Lyocell, is cool to the touch, silky and slinky, and has a luxe weight, like a rich night cream.

Our Golden Hour Collection, made of 44-gauge mercerized microModal TENCEL jersey is so incredibly light and airy, it literally feels like you are literally wearing nothing, but better! Mercerization is an innovative and chemically-safe process where we plump the fibers from the inside giving the fabric a gorgeous sheen and excellent durability that is resistant to pilling from laundering and rubbing on sheets.

Every A DOMANI® garment is as easy to clean as it is to wear. We don’t know of anyone who has the time or energy for fussy handwash and dryclean instructions.

To keep your sleepwear looking its best:

  • Wash in cold water with like colors and a gentle, pH-neutral detergent.
  • Avoid bleach, bleach alternatives, or harsh spot-treatments/Oxyclean, and prolonged sun exposure.
  • Lay flat or hang to dry*

*If you accidentally toss your pieces in the dryer, don’t fret. You didn’t shrink your garments and the cooling, breathable, anti-microbial properties are inherent to the fiber. If your pajamas go through the dryer you may notice some color fading and wood pulp fiber striations (similar to the patina you can expect in leather goods). Heat will inevitably cut down on the lifespan of any garment, not just ours. But we also know you gotta do you.

We use natural, low-impact dyes that are kind to the skin and the environment. You may occasionally notice subtle discoloration, especially after washing or exposure to body heat and natural oils. This happens when the dyes bond slightly vary across the natural fibers—much like how leather can develop a patina over time. It's not a flaw, but a reflection of the nature of the fabric and its more sustainable dyeing process.

TENCEL is derived from wood pulp (eucalyptus, birch, pine, spruce, and beechwood). Unlike polymer (plastic) fibers that can be made completely uniform throughout, our fibers will retain the properties and also the character of the trees they come from.

If you ever have concerns, we're always here to help (ciao@adomanisleep.com). Thank you for embracing the natural beauty—and performance—of A DOMANI®.

Unlike polymer (plastic) based fibers that  are extruded in a highly controlled, chemical-heavy environment to ensure every strand is a carbon copy, TENCEL fibers retain their own unique character just like the trees they come from. It requires an extremely high level of expertise to ensure consistency in TENCEL fabrics, and yet, every batch of fabric will dye, just oh so slightly, differently and we think that is a beautiful reminder of differences in nature, where no two trees are alike.

If the difference in "feel" bothers you, a quick low-heat steam or a tumble in the dryer on a "delicate/air" setting for 5 minutes can often "relax" the fibers and equalize the texture across different colors.

Our fabric mills and fabrics are OEKO-TEX® & OEKO-TEX® STeP, and Bluesign® certified, meaning that chemicals, dyes, and raw materials used are safe, and that production meets strict environmental, health, and safety standards.

Nope! Unlike chemical fabric treatments or after-production barrier applications, the cooling, anti-microbial, and moisture-wicking properties of our garments are inherent to the yarn itself. In short, every luxurious functionality will never wash out.

We want to reduce any source of friction to your sleep. We use a very soft satin care label and attach it with a loop of surging thread. You can keep it on but if you choose to cut it off you can do so without damaging the garment or fussing around with a seam ripper. The garments are easy to care for - wash cold, hang to dry.

The Science

A DOMANI® uses Tencel™ fibers which have a superior physical structure to help regulate temperature. This technology works in three specific stages:

  • Active Absorption: Unlike cotton, which traps moisture on its surface and stays damp, our hydrophilic (water-loving) fibrils instantly draw moisture into the inside of the fiber. This keeps the fabric surface—and your skin—dry to the touch.
  • Evaporative Cooling: Once moisture is absorbed, it is distributed across the fiber's high surface area for rapid evaporation. This process naturally pulls excess heat away from your body, acting as a built-in climate control system.
  • Thermal Stability: By preventing the buildup of humidity against your skin, our fabric prevents the "chill" that occurs when sweat cools down (a common issue with cotton) and the "suffocation" of heat trapped by synthetics.

The result is a stable sleep microclimate that responds to your body's fluctuations throughout the night.

A DOMANI® is engineered to manage the rapid thermal shifts common during menopause, postpartum, and other hormonal journeys. Unlike cotton which stays damp or synthetics which trap heat, our Tencel™ fibers provide active relief in two stages:

  • Instant Heat Dissipation: The microscopic fibrils within our fabric pull excess moisture and heat away from the skin the moment a flash begins, helping to regulate your core temperature.
  • Anti-Chill Protection: By absorbing moisture into the interior of the fiber rather than leaving it on the surface, A DOMANI® prevents the "post-flash chill" caused by damp fabric cooling against your body.

While our fabric has the feel of a technical high-performance, synthetic, it is actually knit from eucalyptus, birch, pine, spruce and beech.

These wood-derived fibers are naturally superior at managing heat and moisture, keeping your skin dry and comfortable. To ensure your garments maintain their shape and stability through years of wear and wash cycles, we weave in a trace amount of elastane adding in essential recovery to the knit.

Natural fibers are the gold standard for sleep because of their organic air pockets, breathability that synthetics can't replicate no matter how they are woven. However, not all natural fibers manage the heat and moisture spikes of sleep effectively. A DOMANI® uses Tencel™ Modal and Lyocell, fibers that retain the breathability of nature while adding high-performance moisture management:

  • Internal Moisture Transport: Cotton and silk are surface-absorbent with a hollow shape. When wet, they localize and hold moisture and the hollow shape collapses causing the fabric to feel damp and heavy. In contrast, Tencel™ Modal and Lyocell fibers contain sub-microscopic channels called fibrils that pull moisture inside the fiber, keeping the fabric surface and your skin dry.
  • Microscopic Smoothness: Cotton and wool have jagged, scaly surfaces that can cause "mechanical irritation". Tencel™ is perfectly round and uniform eliminating the friction that triggers redness or eczema flare-ups during the night.
  • The bamboo dilemma: 99% of "bamboo" on the market is actually Viscose from Bamboo (you'll see this right on the composition label). The manufacturing of Viscose, and its cousin Rayon, is chemically intensive and wasteful, often requiring synthetic coatings to mimic performance. These fibers are structurally unstable, causing them to lose their shape and performance over time.

In contrast, Tencel is a superior alternative. Produced through a closed-loop process that recycles 99% of water and solvents, it creates a highly durable, high-performance fiber. It is naturally resistant to bacterial growth and maintains its structural integrity without the need for harsh chemical finishes.

By managing the "sleep microclimate" at a molecular level, A DOMANI® provides the breathability of a natural fiber without the damp "chill" of cotton or the heat-trapping of synthetics

See how Tencel stacks up against fabric traditionally used in sleepwear here.

A DOMANI® is an ideal choice for sensitive or reactive skin. Our Tencel™ fabrics are physically superior to cotton, silk, viscose/rayon, and synthetic blends for dermatological health:

  • Natural smoothness: Our fibers are biocompatible with human skin cells (keratinocytes) and engineered for microscopic smoothness. This eliminates the "mechanical irritation"—the physical rubbing and friction—that often triggers redness and eczema flare-ups.
  • Hygienic Protection: Eczema-prone skin is highly susceptible to infection. Our material is naturally resistant to bacterial growth without the use of harsh chemical coatings, helping to maintain a sterile and protective environment.
  • Moisture Management: By instantly absorbing moisture into the interior of the fiber, A DOMANI® prevents the "wet-trap" effect that can cling to, sting or irritate broken skin.

By maintaining a dry, friction-free microclimate, A DOMANI® supports your skin’s natural healing process while you sleep.

Yes. A DOMANI® is engineered for dermatological recovery. Our Tencel™ fibers are biocompatible with human skin cells (keratinocytes), making them an ideal choice for the highly sensitized skin following procedures like C-sections, mastectomies, or general surgery.

  • Medical-Grade Smoothness: Post-surgical incisions and sensitive skin are highly reactive to "mechanical irritation." Our fibers are microscopically round and uniform, eliminating the jagged surface friction found in cotton or wool that can disrupt healing tissue.
  • Moisture-Controlled Healing: Keeping an incision site dry is critical for recovery. A DOMANI’s internal sub-channels (fibrils) pull moisture away from the skin’s surface instantly, preventing the "wet-trap" effect that can lead to inflammation or infection.
  • Tested for Sensory Sensitivity: Beyond surgical recovery, our fabric’s consistent, silk-like texture is specifically designed to provide a calm, non-stimulating environment for those with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) or chronic eczema.

By maintaining a dry, friction-free microclimate, A DOMANI® supports your skin’s natural healing process during the most critical stages of recovery.

We engineered our fabric specifically to be a "safe harbor" for reactive skin.

  • Hypoallergenic by Nature: Unlike cotton or wool, which have jagged, scaly surfaces that can microscopically scratch and irritate the skin, Tencel™ fibers, sourced from Eucalyptus, Birch, and Pine trees, are perfectly round and smooth. This eliminates the "mechanical irritation" that typically triggers redness, itching, or flare-ups.
  • Chemically Pure: Our fabric is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, meaning it is rigorously tested and verified to be free from harmful levels of over 100 known irritants, including toxic dyes, heavy metals, and pesticides.
  • No Performance Coatings: Many "moisture-wicking" fabrics rely on topical chemical finishes that can off-gas or irritate the skin. A DOMANI’s performance is structural—the breathability is built into the fiber itself, so no harsh chemical treatments are ever added.
  • Clean Processing: Our fibers are produced in a "closed-loop" system that recovers 99% of solvents, resulting in a finished material that is remarkably pure and non-reactive.

  • Partnership: Every piece is knitted, cut, and sewn by our female-owned and run partner in Portugal.
  • Standards: Our facilities are OEKO-TEX® STeP certified, guaranteeing fair wages, healthy working conditions, and responsible environmental practices.
Low-Waste Philosophy

We have eliminated the traditional "fashion waste" model:

  • Small-Batch Only: We manufacture in limited quantities to avoid overproduction.
  • Made-to-Order Fabric: Our fabric is knitted specifically for each run, minimizing deadstock and waste.

Our commitment to ethical labor is built on three pillars:

  • Ethical Labor: By manufacturing exclusively in Europe (Portugal), we ensure all workers are protected by stringent EU labor laws, guaranteeing fair wages, regulated hours, and safe, healthy working conditions.
  • Certified Milling: Our fabrics are created in best-in-class European mills that hold OEKO-TEX® STeP and Bluesign® certifications. These represent the gold standard for chemical safety, environmental responsibility, and social transitions in textile production. The ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001 certifications offer rigorous oversight of both product quality and environmental impact.
  • Small-Batch Production: We choose small-batch production over mass manufacturing, prioritizing human craftsmanship over high-volume output.

Our fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified, ensuring they are free from harmful substances. While we focus on sustainably managed wood-based fibers (FSC® and PEFC™) rather than organic cotton (GOTS), our entire supply chain meets the highest global standards.

Our pieces are milled and sewn in Portugal under strict European regulations. Our facilities hold the following certifications:

  • Safety & Ethics: OEKO-TEX® & OEKO-TEX® STeP
  • Sustainability: Bluesign® & FSC®/PEFC™ wood fibers
  • Quality Management: ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001

We are also proud to partner with a women-owned and operated sewing facility that prioritizes socially responsible manufacturing.

Every A DOMANI® garment is milled and sewn in Portugal within a fully transparent, high-standard European regulatory environment. Our production is handled by a premier women-owned and operated partner specializing in ethical "cut-and-sew" manufacturing.

Our production process is rooted in finding the absolute most premium, ethically made fabrics available on the market today, partnering with responsible vendors, and paying our talented and hard working employees and partners the wages they deserve. Our products are designed for peak performance and longevity and priced as such.

We worked really, really hard to make our pieces as accessible as possible with the logistical demands of ethical sourcing and the realities of the global economy. We know that makes our pieces out of reach for some...and we wish that weren't the case/we truly wish that lots of things were different about the global manufacturing and economic environment.
